Mis Amores in Tan
A hand-sculpted anthropomorphic vessel featuring multiple emotive faces on a stoneware body finished with a Spanish iron wash. The tan surface and raw, textured clay carry the weight of something ancient, and that's the point. Pavone has been making a living as a full-time artist for seven years, much of her support coming from other women. "I think about all the obstacles and weight they carry each day," she writes, "but regardless, showing up and bringing laughter and beautiful things into this world."
